MINISTRY TEAM
“…and a little child shall lead them.” Isaiah 11:6
__Dear Parents,
It is a privilege to serve and minister to you and your children. We don’t take the task lightly and have felt this is our true calling and commission from the Lord. We not only want to help lead your children but to also teach them to lead. We believe that children and youth are the church of today not just tomorrow. We need them today so therefore, we want your children to learn how to feed themselves spiritually.
We believe that children can not only have a real relationship with their Lord Jesus Christ, but that He uses them to minister. We also believe the younger a child is to begin this attitude in life, the more that attitude will become a life-long lifestyle. One of our motto's is: “It’s better to pre-pare then re-pare.” To accomplish this we have developed an opportunity for your students to join a discipleship/ministry team.
There will be some discipleship requirements in order to be a part of this team that involves scripture memory, servant projects, and domestic missions trips. We will be using the SWAT Discipleship program. The more requirements your child fills, the higher your child goes up in leadership and rank of responsibility.
Attached to this letter should be detailed information to assist you and your child in the decision making process. Please read carefully all of the commitments, and seriously consider your decision. We believe the commitment to this program should reflect very similarly to that of taking your child to school, enrolling your child in music lessons, or signing your child up for a sport. There may be times your child doesn’t “feel” like going, or would rather watch a show on TV, and it’s your commitment to this program that will help your child see that we have to push through those “feelings.” As you probably already know, pushing your child through this once or twice is usually all it takes to teach them this level of commitment. Of course we know that special things arise and we will be very understanding in those situations for we believe in the power of the family.
We appreciate your time and your consideration for this ministry. We hope that we will have an enjoyable time and see the fruit begin to produce in your children’s lives. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Much appreciation,
Lennette Deal
